We advised Yeşilyurt Enerji on the Romanian aspects of a EUR 20 million financing for a utility-scale photovoltaic project. Our role covered project-finance structuring, negotiation of the security package, grid-access and permitting checks, and coordination with the project's international lenders.
The transaction reflects the continued appetite of Turkish and regional sponsors for Romanian renewable energy assets and highlights the complexity of aligning Romanian permitting requirements with the expectations of international project-finance lenders.
